About Our Pastor

IMG_0925-Edit

Rev. Terri Echelbarger (she/her/hers) is the Founding Pastor of our church. She, and a committee of others, started Many Journeys MCC in 2005.

Rev. Terri is active in our local community and is currently serving as a member of the San Mateo County LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender)  Commission. She also gathers with the San Mateo County Faith Leaders group to address shared areas of concern and action. She serves the denomination as a liaison for MCC future clergy at the Pacific School of Religion (Berkeley) and teaches the MCC History and Polity Course to both lay and future ministry leaders.

Rev. Terri has a real love for building community and thinks of herself as one voice in an ongoing conversation that happens when we gather to worship, pray, or play together.  At Many Journeys MCC she values the diversity of voices from many different spiritual backgrounds, and ministering at a church were we don’t all believe the same things yet connect to each other in LOVE.

Rev. Terri holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Hawaii. Her BA is in Non-Profit Administration from Fairhaven College in Bellingham, Washington.
