Spare Change for Change!
Easter Bonnet Contest!
On Saturday the disciples are huddled in the upper room – afraid. Jesus has been crucified, so their lives must be in danger too. However, near sunrise, the women will venture out, making their way to lovingly anoint the body of Jesus, spreading their care over that which was desecrated. Come to Many Journeys for the rest of the story. We’ll remind you that hope can be reborn, is reborn, over and over again.
Thursday, April 13, 7pm
(Come at 6:30 to enjoy a simple soup supper, bring bread or cheese.)
The religious and civil authorities have had enough of Jesus – the last straw was disturbing the peace at the Temple, (not to mention disturbing commerce). The decision has been made, a traitor has come forward – Jesus will be stopped. There is a sense of glee on the part of the powerful. The traitor-spy, even now, is sharing meal with the one the people want as King. HA, they think to themselves, what a surprise is in store! Those in power know how to kill a movement … cut off it’s head … the plan is even now unfolding.
Friday, April 14, Noon – 3 and 7pm.
Drop in and out as your time allows for individual reflection from Noon -3 and then join us for a multi-congregation service (at our place) at 7pm, with special music from several choirs. It’s always a moving time, sharing reflections on modern day meanings of the 7 last words of Christ.
